Miss Michigan 2009 Nicole and I

Us girls just being cute!
These dresses were soo huge and soo beautiful!

As a business learning opportunity at Montague High School, students conducted a Fashion Show through DECA. The students not only learned more about real life business, but they controlled the show themselves, and did a fantastic job if I do say so myself! Designers around the area including POSH and Tony Bowls donated large amounts of their clothing for the evening to the event to be modeled.

So many people from around the area came to see the event and the students were able to raise money through out the night. The night was televised on a local station. Anais and her classmates did a wonderful job! It was a lot of fun.

Stanton Hometown Christmas

Stanton Hometown Christmas!
We played games with the kids like a cookie walk, throw the cookie through Santa's mouth and pin the nose on rudolf!
Santa, Frosty and the Grinch were all there as well!
This was with all the firemen in the fire barn.

-->Giving one of the kids a picture to color. The kids were all so cute and so much fun!

Today was sooo busy! At first, I was at Sheridan Community Hospital at 5:30pm. There, I colored and did other Holiday crafts with the kids that came. It was a huge turnout this year! Last year they said they only had aout 12 kids show up...This year they had probably 30-40. The kids also got to meet Santa! It was a really nice event.
I left there at 6:45pm and headed to the White Pine Library. I was amazed by everything Katie and her family and friends set up for the kids to do. First, Story Grandma read the holiday book, "Apple Tree Christmas". Let me just say...MY NEW FAVORITE CHILDREN'S BOOK! She acted the book out and read it from memory. It was amazing! After that, the kids...And I...Enjoyed all the crafts that were set up around the room. Lastly, I got my picture taken with all the kids. I was "Princess Santa" and all the kids were telling me what they wanted for Christmas! It was so cute. One girl asked me if I live in a Castle...I told her that one day I would when I married my Prince! Haha, it was so much fun to hangout with these kids tonight. They are so light-hearted, happy and full of energy.
