Miss Michigan 2009 Nicole and I

Us girls just being cute!
These dresses were soo huge and soo beautiful!

As a business learning opportunity at Montague High School, students conducted a Fashion Show through DECA. The students not only learned more about real life business, but they controlled the show themselves, and did a fantastic job if I do say so myself! Designers around the area including POSH and Tony Bowls donated large amounts of their clothing for the evening to the event to be modeled.

So many people from around the area came to see the event and the students were able to raise money through out the night. The night was televised on a local station. Anais and her classmates did a wonderful job! It was a lot of fun.

Stanton Hometown Christmas

Stanton Hometown Christmas!
We played games with the kids like a cookie walk, throw the cookie through Santa's mouth and pin the nose on rudolf!
Santa, Frosty and the Grinch were all there as well!
This was with all the firemen in the fire barn.

Sheridan Hospital and White Pine Library Christmas Celebration

--> William and I. He took pictures of me and the kids all night. He's my "faux cousin". Haha

-->My whole "faux family"! =]
(This is the family from my uncle's side.)
They are all great and I am so happy they asked me to do this!

--> Hailey and "The Queen", as she says! She's so cute.She is wearing her reindeer antlers (one of the crafts of the night).

-->Susan McFarland and I. I am so happy that she calls me up for so many fundraising and volunteer opportunities! Thanks.

-->Giving one of the kids a picture to color. The kids were all so cute and so much fun!

Today was sooo busy! At first, I was at Sheridan Community Hospital at 5:30pm. There, I colored and did other Holiday crafts with the kids that came. It was a huge turnout this year! Last year they said they only had aout 12 kids show up...This year they had probably 30-40. The kids also got to meet Santa! It was a really nice event.
I left there at 6:45pm and headed to the White Pine Library. I was amazed by everything Katie and her family and friends set up for the kids to do. First, Story Grandma read the holiday book, "Apple Tree Christmas". Let me just say...MY NEW FAVORITE CHILDREN'S BOOK! She acted the book out and read it from memory. It was amazing! After that, the kids...And I...Enjoyed all the crafts that were set up around the room. Lastly, I got my picture taken with all the kids. I was "Princess Santa" and all the kids were telling me what they wanted for Christmas! It was so cute. One girl asked me if I live in a Castle...I told her that one day I would when I married my Prince! Haha, it was so much fun to hangout with these kids tonight. They are so light-hearted, happy and full of energy.

Miss Capital City

--->Katie LaRoche. The new Miss Capital City.
Congratulations Katie!!

---> A bunch of us girls

The Miss Capital City pageant was so different compared to our Miss Stanton pageant. It was huge! They had 18 girls compete. But, it was a lot of fun to go and watch them.

Sherican Community Hospital Fundraiser

---> I was the "50/50 Girl"! =]

---> My grandma, me and my daddy. My mom, aunt and uncle came as well. (Along with multiple other locals!)

This was an amazing event that i wish I would have become a part of a lot sooner! We raised over $17,000!!!! Woww. The theme was "Tailgate", as you can see, I am wearing my high school's playoff shirts. I missed our 2nd round playoff game for this event, but it was worth it! It was a silent auction and a live auction, with 50/50 as well.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in this, including bidders, helpers, the businesses that donated and my parents! Special thanks to Susan McFarland for asking me to help with this event!

Edmore Parade

The parade in Edmore was probably my favorite. It rained...no, it poured the ENTIRE parade. And, not only were we the only court that showed up, we got to ride in a PONTOON boat!! It was a lot of fun and definitely an intresting experience.

Chemical Bank Photo Shoot

--->Me and my mom!

---> Stephanie, my jr miss stanton! She is such an awesome young lady. I cannot wait for her to be old enough to run for Miss! She will do well.

This was an evening long event that took place in a family's home garden here in Stanton. They have such a beautiful garden and were so gracious to let us, and many other groups use it for the photo shoot.

Belding Parade

--->STEPHANIE My best friend, I was so excited that we would be spending a lot of time together during this whole process!

--->PRINCESS Alexis, is my little princess for the court. She is the cutest little girl ever. She would hold my hand, and only mine at all times, and would call me "The Queen", rather then "Alexa". How adorable??

--->Belding was such a hot parade...then it started to rain, again. This is just Alex, Me and Steph being kinda dumb. =]

--->Most of the court. We were models for my mom's camera during every parade, especially this one.

--->Us with Judy Emmons. She is such an awesome and kind-hearted woman!

Danish Festival Weekend

---> These are two of the nicest people I have ever met! Janelle is the Miss Capital City Pageant Co-Director (on the left), and Katie(on the right) is last years Miss Michigan 1st runner up and this years current Miss Capital City. I met them after only about a week as Miss Stanton and they helped me out a lot!

--->This is yet another Katie! She is last years Miss Belding and the coolest girl ever. She is so down to earth! Her and I, along with Katie and Janelle, judged the Greenville Danish Festival Pageant.

--->DANISH PARADE This was the first parade that we had decent weather. Here are just a couple girls from my court and the Danish court with Chelsea, Miss Danish Festival 2009, who will also be running for Miss Michigan with me  in June!
